If you are an eCommerce owner, you should include Mother’s Day in your marketing calendar. With this international event just around the corner, you should start preparing now! 1 in 3 of these people (approximately 34%) plan to buy their Mother’s Day gifts online. It’s a good time to decorate your online shop with flowers – sell, sell, sell!

Almost a quarter (23%) plan to buy their Mother’s Day gift from a local small business – let’s try to make that figure even higher!

83% of US adults are expected to celebrate this holiday!

Clever tip: Try to make it easy for customers who want to maintain social distancing by allowing Mother’s Day gifts to be sent directly to their address for free. Be sure to advertise it, as some  customers find this very important.

Start by making a compilation of the products you offer that you think would make a perfect gift for mothers. For example, “Perfect gift for mothers who love to travel”, “Perfect gifts for mothers who love to cook”, etc. This will make the process of deciding what to give your customers easier and simpler. 

Discounts and promotions

Offer a discount by creating a coupon exclusively for Mother’s Day. Make sure the code is tailored to the holiday by using the word “mom”. As a brand awareness tactic, include the brand name or slogan to draw attention to the brand.

Organize a contest or sweepstakes

People love sweepstakes. So make sure you take advantage of #MothersDay2022 and get more social media presence.
