Shopify Marketing strategy – 7 effective tactics to boost sales

Once you have successfully built your Shopify store, it’s time to start thinking about the shopify marketing strategy that you will be doing to maximize your sales and minimize your costs. There are many different marketing strategies that you can use to be successful, and each online store should choose one that will fit them best. This blog post will be spent talking about my favorite marketing strategies that will surely increase the sales of your Shopify store.

Utilize Pre-Orders

Pre-Orders are a quick and easy way to generate more sales, boost customer satisfaction, and improve cash flow. Pre-Orders give you the opportunity to keep selling a product even when it’s out of stock. In doing so, you’ll convert more customers that would have been otherwise missed because they were unable to purchase your product.

Pre-orders are also a great way to gauge product interest before ever ordering inventory. This gives you a low-risk way of finding out what products customers are actually willing to purchase.

To add pre-order options to your store, we recomend to install the Pre-order Manager app for Shopify. You can also read more about how to utilize Pre-Order on Shopify’s merchant blog.

Limited-time offers

If used properly, this strategy creates a sense of urgency in your customers’ head. Psychologically speaking, people are generally more worried about the things that they might lose than the things they already have. This is the perfect strategy to take advantage of that situation. If you create attractive daily offers for your customers you will surely increase the sales and traffic of your store. It’s best to not overuse or overextend the offers because it will lose its purpose and customers will no longer pay attention to the offer.

Send gifts with the purchase

This can be a good strategy to push the undecided customer into finishing the buying action. This strategy will not only increase the conversion rate of your Shopify store, but it will also help you build customer loyalty and retain a general audience.

Email marketing

Email marketing is one of the most important tools to engage with customers that have already made a purchase on your website. Use it to send useful information to your customers and try to make it look professional, it’s very important to build trust in the mind of the customer. If you fail in doing this, your emails will likely be marked as spam and many unsubscriptions will occur each time you send an email. You should also be mindful of the amount of emails you are sending so you aren’t an annoyance. A good practice to follow is to send 1 or 2 emails per week.

Package your products

Offering bundled product deals is a good strategy to sell more. If you want to create bundles, focus on choosing products that have some kind of synergy between them. For example, making a bundle of anti-aging creams and videogames wouldn’t exactly sell. A better combination would be videogames with energy drinks, or anti-aging creams with make-up. Additionally, the price of these packs should be lower compared to buying the products of that bundle separately.

Feature your best products

Featuring specific products at the front of your pages is a great way to increase the sales of those same products. You should typically feature products with the highest conversion rate, benefit, or any products that can result in a second conversion.

Use your blog to convince your customers

A blog can be a powerful tool when talking about generating trust in your customers’ minds. You can use it to attract potential customers to your website by generating the content they are looking for, or even use it to explain additional functionalities of your products. Only giving more reasons for the customers to buy your products.

Influencer Marketing

Influencer marketing is a strategy that has been on the rise. The process is simple, just contact an influencer and negotiate how you would pay them in relation to the promotion of your products. Sometimes when the influencer has a low to medium size following, they will promote your products just by giving them some of yours for free. But you may also find that the influencer is not interested in the products of your store, making it so you will have to pay them if you want to get the promotion.
